My name? Phillip Jeffrey Ayres.  Born on March 24, 1970 near Los Angeles, California.  I grew up watching the Detroit Tigers with my grandfather.  Eventually my mom married and we moved out to the suburbs; Oak Park, Ferndale, and later Plymouth Canton.  I graduated from Hartland High School in 1988 and began attending Cornerstone Universtiy (then called “Grand Rapids Baptist College”) where I met my future wife, Stefanie.  We married in 1992 and after completing a ministry degree I worked as a Campus Life Director in a little town south of Grand Rapids.
