We had a great Easter service this last Sunday.  We celebrated with a record attendance of 350, had 6 decisions to follow Christ, and welcome many new families to the church.  It was truly awesome!

Stefanie and I have been playing golf in the mornings and every afternoon we find something to do for the whole family. It’s great to get some much needed rest…

The big news at LifePoint is that we are moving to a larger office space – one that is adjoining our student minsitry and band practice facility.  For the last 3 years we have been blessed with our “little” offices at the corner of 2nd and Wilbur.  The Hubb, as we call it, has been a place of development and growth for us at a church, but alas, we are outgrowing it.

Our new facility will give us a total of roughly 3,500 square feet, including our student ministry facility, conference rooms, and band practice facility.  Note: we don’t meet on Sundays at The Loft – we still meet at the YMCA.  There’s no way we could fit in The Loft on Sundays!  (we had a record breaking 328 in service last Sunday)  But this new facility gives us better office space (doors for our offices actually give us some much needed privacy to talk with people and even counsel) as well as nice street-front entry off of E. Crystal Lake.

This last week we concluded week 2 of our ongoing study of the book of Hebrews.  I hope you enjoy it!

We purchased 42 chairs for this week's service...here they are lined up in our storage room.

The last few weeks have been exciting at LifePoint.  We’ve had record attendance and even though our softball team has yet to win a game (grrr!) we have had a ton of fun playing and cheering the team on.

In response to our need for more chairs for the auditorium at the YMCA, I’m really proud of you, LifePoint Family.  We indicated that we would match any special gift towards the purchase of chairs and we were able to raise more than $800 that we immediately used to buy a case of chairs (a case is 42 chairs).

It might seem like a little thing to some but it’s proof that God is blessing us every single week by leading more people to our community.  What we are experiencing is good, steady, growth – the best kind.

Don’t forget to invite your friends, co-workers, neighbors, loved ones, and enemies (why not?) to LifePoint.  We’ll always continue to buy chairs when we need them!
