We have been using this cool thing at LifePoint recently during our Sunday morning services. It’s called, YouVersion and if you have an iPhone or Blackberry you can use it for free. Bunches of people have asked me about it so here’s a little video tutorial on how to make it work.

I’m taking the day off today instead of my usual day off which is Friday. I’m up way too late thinking about stuff. Eventually, I started browsing through one of my favorite web sites, www.bestofyoutube.com and found this video. It’s cool because we a lot of the time we get very wrapped up in our own problems and situations and worry that they might become some large that God can’t handle them.

Psalm 147:4 says, “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”

Just want to say thank you to all who stepped forward to help with recent Senior Intervention Group needs. After putting the word out yesterday, many contacted me to volunteer to do yardwork, clean gutters, and provide transportation for Lake Mary senior citizens. This is exactly the kind of thing we were hoping to be involved in at LifePoint. Once again, thank you Lake Mary and LifePoint!

Late in 2008, LifePoint began working on a joint venture with the Lake Mary Police Department. Spearheaded by ofc. Zach Hudson, the department organized an initiative called simply, the “Senior Intervention Group.” The program is a way for local churches to reach out to area senior citizens and help with basic projects and needs. Many churches in Lake Mary are involved, and though we are still working to get the project up to full speed, some of the results have been great so far. Orlando North Community Church kicked in earlier this year with a few yard work projects. Now we have 3-4 additional requests received in the last week. If you are interested in helping please contact me!

First game is a loss, but great team spirit anyway.

Hey all, the LifePoint Christian Church Tigers played their first game tonight. Unfortunately, after holding a 5 run lead for most of the game “The Grounds Crew” came back to win by 2 in the last inning. Here’s a quick video. I say quick because my camera ran out of juice after just 4 minutes of filming.
