Just want to say thank you to all who stepped forward to help with recent Senior Intervention Group needs.  After putting the word out yesterday, many contacted me to volunteer to do yardwork, clean gutters, and provide transportation for Lake Mary senior citizens.  This is exactly the kind of thing we were hoping to be involved in at LifePoint.  Once again, thank you Lake Mary and LifePoint!

Late in 2008, LifePoint began working on a joint venture with the Lake Mary Police Department.  Spearheaded by ofc. Zach Hudson, the department organized an initiative called simply, the “Senior Intervention Group.”  The program is a way for local churches to reach out to area senior citizens and help with basic projects and needs.  Many churches in Lake Mary are involved, and though we are still working to get the project up to full speed, some of the results have been great so far.  Orlando North Community Church kicked in earlier this year with a few yard work projects.  Now we have 3-4 additional requests received in the last week.  If you are interested in helping please contact me!
